The Corollas with CVT's transmissions are garbage. Which is basically every Corolla since 2014.

Hey Scotty, I have a Corolla 99. Had only one owner who put 101000 miles on in 20 years. LOVE IT minus some storage corrosion (Toyota Corroda, haha). My complaint is how small the antenna is!! Never had a car with such bad radio reception! I even noticed the reception works far better holding the antenna out my window. My question is how difficult is it to change an antenna on a '99? Thanks!

177,000 on my 2011 Corolla S with 5 spd manual transmission. They have not been easy miles either, I run the hell out it and I have not done anything to it other than the normal stuff like brakes and tires. Toyota builds great cars, trucks and suv's. You take care of them and they will take care of you!!

My girlfriend and I bought a 2005 Corolla brand new. Had it for ten years. Best car I’ve ever had. Would have kept it had I not gotten into an accident. I now have a 2011 Corolla that I’ve had for two years now....let’s hope I can keep it for another ten+ years to come.

I had a 1972 Corolla. What a piece of crap. One winter with that car in Cleveland,Ohio ruined it. The potholes in the road and the freezing weather destroyed it. The spark plug wires that came with the car weren’t made to be in freezing weather. They cracked and weren’t delivering enough electricity to fire the plugs properly. Also moisture in the air would short the wires and anyone who has ever lived in Cleveland knows Lake Erie delivers lots of rain and snow. The car was made so cheaply that you could dent the fenders by pushing on it with your hand. The whole car was made like that. It turned me off from Toyota’s for many years.

A couple of weeks ago I wanted to own a Toyota Corolla 89 as my first car, but what it did surprised me is how pristine it was , which is something you hardly ever see in an old Toyota .. I always saw it when commuting to work on my bike , and finally got to meet the owner of the car . So I asked him : “ Are you selling your Toyota ?” Then he said : “No I’ve been reasonably trouble-free with it for 15 YEARS!! As a daily driver “ No wonder why they’re really sought-after these days !

I bought a corolla hatchback station wagon in 1999. Only changed brake pads and the shocks. That's all. My son, born in 1997, is now driving that car. It has clocked 356000 miles and still running strong. We sometimes wonder whether the car would ever die at all.

I would like to ask someone knowledgeable: My friend has a 2008 Toyota Corolla. Once, when she did not feel good during a trip, I was asked to drive it. To my amazement, we have discovered that I can't drive it due to my height ! No matter what I did to adjust the steering wheel or seat, my knees were pressing against the steering wheel. I am wondering if this happened because her Toyota was manufactured in Japan? A US military serviceman bought it in Japan and later shipped it to the US. My height is 6'4" and had some small American cars but this had never happened before. Just a thought: would it be possible to change the seat on the driver's side by a different one, so I could drive it? Thanks for your input.

Yes, I do know about the paddle lever but it only moves the seat closer or farther from the steering wheel. Are you sure, that it should also lower or raise the seat? If so, I have to see a mechanic to repair it. Thanks again.
