I get rid of my tires 4 at a time because I drive AWD cars. The rear ones usually have a lot of tread left.

Scotty Kilmer I had some mechanic work on my rear brakes and I think might’ve broken something. I hear rattling noises. I don’t know what it is and am scared to take it to any mechanic because of the prices. Almost forgot to mention. He did break a stud out of 5 . And also had trouble butting the piston in with the C clamp. HELP! 🙏

Sometimes people take their tires off because they get different sized wheels. Happens a lot out here but I personally only buy new tires.

Changing the brakes on a car is so easy, I can’t imagine anyone willing to take on the job would be able to mess it up; especially with the internet at one’s disposal. But hey, I guess anything is possible. Lol

back in the early seventies it was no problem changing a head gasket , I could do it in a day but if any mates came to help it would be more like a full weekend job because there would be more action at the beer fridge than on the car.

I've seen cars in the junkyard somebody just put brand new rotors and pads on it and they totaled the car there is nothing wrong with buying those rotors and pads you go by brand new ones and you'll get the same thing so what you got 10 or 20 miles on it big deal

I never put brakes on backward, but when I was young and inexperienced, one of the anti-rattle clips was out of place and it would hang up in one of the grooves inside of the caliper. Made my pad and rotor wear at an angle.

from brakes tires to engines . in the mid 1980s a neighbor removed his brakes , and had no idea how to reassemble them called me , i walked over and it being a new car it was the first time i had seen a set of slip in brake shoes , i had no idea but looking at it and thinking to myself the old and new look the same it must fit , took me a few tries to get it they went up in and over , the rear was the drum breaks easy . he had the front end up on jack stands both sides off , I was still driving a 1970 pick up . if I had done the removal it been piece of cake .

The other tires I was able too because the slide pins slid up and down like they're supposed too. Please help

I had 2 cars with that engine and I changed the coolant regularly on both of them, the head gasket still went out on both of them at around 150k on the first one (Chevy Venture) and 170k on the 2nd one (Buick Rendezvous)

These used tire shops will get them, sometimes a full set, and the wheels and mags, and sell them! I have been buying used tires for many years and never had any trouble! Of course, I check therm out real good and get the same size that that I have! Not recommending used tires, just saying! I also get my batteries from the scrap yard for $30 to $45 with thirty day replacement, same reason, never had any trouble! Not recommending, just saying!
