How about 240 miles driving through snow and blizzard in some areas, driving the 31 year old Renault R4 in January 2016. It made the whole trip but literary fell apart the day after when prop shaft fell out and I found out that whole chassis was corroded. 😂

Here in Alabama I was in 6th grade and we had people sleeping at my middle school. Luckily I had a ride and we got as close to home as we could before we walked up a steep hill to my house. A two years ago was almost as bad, I was on the way to a 24 Hours of LeMons race at Road Atlanta when cars just started sliding off the sides of the roads. Luckily we were in a big truck with mud tires. Funny thing is, they didn’t stop the race! They let everyone on track with their normal race tires. We had been lucky and found some rain tires and brought those, but our e36 dropped a valve.

Took me 4 hours to drive 3ish miles to get home. Couldn’t believe how bad people drove that day.

It's always funny to hear about people failing to drive in snow. I live in Ohio, we get snow for half the year and our seasons are winter, or summer, So of course snow is nothing new to me. words of advice for anyone driving in snow for the first time. Drive slowly and like your car is made of glass. Too much throttle you lose your precious little traction, too little and you'll bog down and become stuck in ruts. Just take it slow and steady, heater on and put on some music because generally. You're gonna be there for a while

Y’all the ice storms we get in the south are completely different from snow. There’s no snow, only ice. Most of the trees in my area are still damaged and broken from an ice storm like 7 years ago.

It wasn't the 2 inch of snow , it was the ice. Hard for any car to get grip on ice.

I'm a truck driver that has a terminal in Marietta and was headed down through Atlanta on I-75 South on that fateful day. I figured if I could make it to my terminal off exit 267A, I'd be fine. Unfortunately, complete gridlock occured for me at the 269 and I spent the next 24 hours parked where I had come to s stop. With 20 years of trucking experience and over 2.5 million miles of driving in every sort of weather, once they opened the roads and allowed us to begin proceeding through town, I was eager to get back to completing my trip down to Florida. Another truck driver attempted to follow me and as it turned out, his snow and ice driving skills weren't quite equal to my own and within 5 miles, he jackknifed his truck into the concrete median wall. In my now 25 years of experience, Atlanta's Icepocolypse still stands as the longest I've ever been physically stopped on the roadway by weather.

I remember this. I was almost stuck at school but my dad got me out right before the snow started falling. It took my mom 8 hours to get home from work and I was chilling at home getting mild frostbite outside. We were out of school in Forsyth county for about a week, and if you so much as dropped a cup of ice on the roasts they’d close schools.

I remember Fulton county got in a lot of heat for waiting too late to release all the kids, and a lot of the kids had to spend the night at school because of the snow.

It was a fun time lmao

What a great idea, over 500 kids were forced to sleep at my high school cause as soon as I left cars started sliding backwards down the only exit of the school! Took me 3 hours to get 3 miles home!! When we came back to school my teacher I dipped on said I was smart to leave when I did instead of stay lol. I was driving my 2003 330ci and it was an absolute shit show. I was gonna have to sleep in my car or walk home in a t shirt and gym shorts if two nice dudes hadn’t pushed me when I got stuck!
