You should have made it about normal engines like the 5.7 6.4 hemi 5.0 coyote an the 5.3 an 6.2 gm v8 not the supercharged engines. Can you do a new video on that?

@MISTER SIR GAMINGWhy not the Crown Vic? I'm guessing you mean the regular Crown Vic. You should get what I have. The Crown Vic Police Interceptor. It's a whole different beast. For the price, performance, and reliability, you won't find better. No other V8 car is as reliable past 300,000 miles, it'll last past 500,000 miles if you maintain it. The car is tougher than any other V8. The cars are reinforced. They can handle 70 mph front and rear collisions. I know from experience. I was rear ended in a stop sign, and the other car received a lot of front damage, while my car was find and only received miner paint scratches and miner bumper deformation in the rear, but you couldn't even tell. It's Easy and affordable to fix if you do it yourself. It can handle aggressive driving if you like speed, like I do. It's smooth on the road, comfortable, and has a lot of room inside and in the trunk. Trust me, for your price range it's perfect. I wouldn't trust Oldsmobile on reliability for your first car. Plus, for your first car it'll get you attention, it's a nice car, and it looks cool and aggressive. It's a cop car...enough said. Just make sure it was well maintained. Whoever you buy it from make sure it was well maintained. Cop cars are well maintained, but under private owners it's different. If bought from a dealer, make sure it was well maintained, and that the Law enforcement agency it came from isn't from a state where it snows. Because the road salt used in snowing states rust cars quickly, and cop cars from these states are usually rusted below the body, and have rusted parts. Which means things will wear out on you faster after buying it. Just don't judge a book by it's cover, as they say. Just be careful and check everything. Look for videos on YouTube for what to look for when buying used police vehicles. A course this is only advice. It's your choice. I'm just trying to get you a first car that'll last and be cool to own. Good luck on your first car if you don't have one already, since my comment is months after yours.

Hey Scotty West coast Ronnie here in southern California.
I own a Chevy 2017 2500 HD gas truck.recently the torque converter went out at 63,000 miles and I took it to the dealer and they went ahead and replaced a failed torque converter. About a month later I started to feel the same symptoms in the transmission before the torque converter went out the first time. From a stop it would shift hard to the first gear change sometimes the second gear change and then as you're slowing down to a stop it would downshift really hard. Now my question is is it possible that torque converter is going out again or could this be a programming issue or maybe does it need a software update.I'm lucky that this is all under my extended warranty but if you have a comment on this situation I'd really appreciate it .
                Thanks !
                Ronnie

So something's never change. Chrysler still builds great engines but their cars still suck. One more thing. Ford's direct competition Chevy, started putting OHV inline six's in their cars in the late twenties so I guess the hood was a little longer but what the heck.

And also the best v8 should be what the common man can afford
because reality is most of us will never see what a 800hp Hellcat
will do because it is way out of our league. I thought you would
talk about the regular truck motor like the 5.3 or 5.4 or whatever the manufacture
would put in a 1/2 ton or a full size truck.

IMO as long as people still need to purchase pickups, and medium duty truck, the V8 will be around. Modern V8 are reliable. long lived, with decent broad power band. I just cant see boosted I4 s and V6 standing up driven for hours wrapped up to the nuts to deliver the required power.

I drive 700 miles per week. Half going mountains. The 4 banger lost it's bang and I kept seeing regular drivers who took my path to work on the side of the road.
I swapped out for a high output 6 banger, after a few years the mountains was winning again and I start ed noticing the kind of cars stuck on the side of the high way. Alot of Lexus's and 6 and 4's cars and SUV's. I think it was not the engines but the transmissions. I drive a V8 (car) to do every day mountain driving. When I drive to work it one and a half hour going up.

Rover bought the Buick 215 all-alloy V8 in 1964 and brought in retiring Joe Turlay on a very nice salaary to iron out all the kinks. It was in production from 1967 right to today (boutique builder CosCast has the sand cast masters). It powered Rover P5B, P6B, SD1, Land Rover, Range Rover, MGB, TVR 350, a whole series of Morgans and TVR's. It was supposed to power the Triumph Stag and Jaguar XJ chassis (but Rover had no members of the board of directors at British Leyland and Triumph had 2). It went from 3.5, to 3.7, tpo 4.2, to 4.3, 4.4 (Leyalnd Australia) 4.5ish and (pls don;t giggle) Rimmer Brothers of UK make a 5.5 up to 6.3. There is talk of a TVR with twin superchargers ona this old puhshrod Buick.
Buick itslef had a cast iron V8 300 cu in (4.9 litre) which was essentially a variant of the 215 they no longer needed which was in production 1964 to 1980 and a V6 which was essenitally the same V8 with two cylinders chopped off 1962-2008.

There are a few custom 5.5 litres about which are around 500HP at the wheels from ex racing cars

There is one barely Rover V8 (Pontiac) by Sonny's motorsport which is 1000 BHP naturally aspirated- but it is $32,900.00

I raced in a Nevada open road race with a modified LS1 that had 130,000 miles on it and I cruised at 140mph for 120 miles and then drove home to Phoenix. He says we don’t need 800 HP he’s right we need 1000 HP. Assclown.

They make great power AND get good mpg. Better than the v6 in most cases which Ford don’t like admitting to. I easily get 22mpg out of mine in a crew cab 4x4. The best I ever got out of a GM LS truck was 17-18mpg and that is with the cylinder deactivation program
