@ダニエル・ジョンソンDanieru All turbo motors should have the best oil & filters changed regularly and always allow car to warm up properly. Also beware of heat sink when shut off. Timer fans maybe worth looking into if you live in a hot climate.

@forsherart Make sure you have an honest mechanic, and have it serviced regularly. The EcoBoost engine is a great motor and like any other, regular oil & filter change using best quality will ensure long life. Allow car to warm up properly before driving hard. Good luck & all the best from Australia.

I love your videos, but your wayyyyyy off! The Ecoboost engines are one of the best engines. Include an amazing 10 speed transmission and you get one awesome Truck!

I love your videos but I can honestly disagree with you on this one...
I was in the market for a truck and I test drove Chevy,Ford,Dodge
Drove the Silverado and did not like it drive a dodge all 3 engine options 4.7,5.7 and the Cummins one
Both 4.7 and 5.7 I was not impressed and well the Cummins loves it but price was way out of my way

Drove the Ford F-150 all engine sizes 5.4 5.0 and the 3.5 eco boost
And I gotta say the ecoboost was by far the best option ran way better and just felt better I did my research and I rarely found any faults with this engine option. I love my ford ecoboost and I’m a die hard Chevy fan so it was hard for me to switch to anything else besides Chevy.... and with any new cars they’re are always gonna be trial and errors just like the Silverados the transmissions are garbage all company have the pros and have flaws ...... but in the end everyone is entitled to there own opinions but I don’t see any issues with the ecoboost engines

You technophobic dinosaur. I would never, ever go to you for any sort of car repair. The quality of an an engine is not determined by your unwillingness to understand new technology. Aluminum engines aren't made ONLY from aluminum. It's typically an alloy that is much, much stronger than aluminum and sometimes stronger than cast iron.
I'm surprised you were even able to make a YouTube video. Did you enlist your grandchildren on this? You probably still use a flip phone and the yellow pages.

It was bound to happen. Technologies created have consumed the truck market. Not just pick up trucks, but all types and classes of trucks to
Include tractor trailer rigs. However, so long as your eco boost engine is covered under warranty, It is the dealerships responsibility along with Ford and it's reputation to make good on all repairs.

I just purchased a 2019 F150 3.5 liter Eco Boost. I have faith it will do great. Even under towing conditions. If not, Ford must either fix it or replace it. That is why a warranty, especially a factory warranty, is crucial when purchasing a new vehicle with new type technologies.

Sold Ford's for a couple years. About half of the f150 customers would tell me they only wanted a V8. I did have a lot of happy customers who purchased ecoboost f150's but when friends or relatives asked my advice, I always said go with a 5.0 V8!

Love watching him but a luddite....scared to death of changes and the fact he cannot work on the new cars so please buy one with an engine he understands. He hates the fact that what he used to get paid to do like adjust a carburetor or timing can now be done with a quick and simple software update. The tune ups older mechanics made a living on have disappeared due to technology and he has no desire to buy and learn the high tech equipment it takes to work on the new engines. In other words he is a lovable dinosaur. My Ford Sync 3 system updates itself in my driveway via Wi-Fi. He also seems to be unaware the Ford V8 Coyote engine he recommends is also direct injected and like many millions of cars use a high pressure fuel pump the works just as long as the kind he used to be able to change in 15 minute in the day! I would happily take a '60s or '70s car to him.......but anything over a 2000 I'll go Texas on him.........EL Paso! My son is a mechanic and works on my Ecoboost for oil changes because it has never failed, nor has his mothers or his sisters! What he doesn't tell you is my Fiesta ST with the 1.6L Ecoboost engine puts out 215HP, or 2.25HP per cubic inch. Equivalent to a 350 cubic engine producing 787 HP! It also give me over 36 mpg hwy and 32 in town and runs like the proverbial bat out of hell! Total cost of maintenance in over three years is $1000 for tires and brakes not counting oil changes often! I'm 67 years old and have owned 17 car including many turbo's and V8's plus 3 Rotaries. And the car I love the most in 50 years of driving is my Fiesta ST. After driving mine a few times my daughter bought one. And my wife just bought a Mustang CS/GT with the 460 HP Coyote V8. Our family loves cars and the performance and reliability of the technology today. My wife's car with the 10 speed Automatic will out run and out stop 99% of the old "muscle cars" and has every option available on the car. It shaves her legs and does her nails at 140mph! LOL!

It throws you back in the seat when you stomp on it...even more so than my 2002 with the 5.4 l V8. Having said that, the 3.5 l ecoboost gets worse mileage. You'd have to drive it like a granny to get anywhere near the mileage they claim on the thing. I can rod my GT350 around and it will still get way better gas mileage than the "eco" boost. I'm going to trade the 3.5 in for a 5.0 pretty soon.

This approach is "its a newer complicated engine therefore bad". Ecoboost engines have proven to be reliable as they have been in production for years and no major reports or problem.

I know plenty of people that have driven them many miles (200,000+) and have had no problems. Maybe age will be more detrimental than mileage?
