PhillLsx Ga. There’s always an exception unit. It doesn’t sound like the vehicle is going to be resold anytime soon if he enjoys it so much, so this video won’t hurt the resale value. You should post to YouTube a video Reply to this one, then the videos will be linked up and people can check it out.

I have 2000 blazer which I had for 18 years and nothing went wrong with it was over 700k miles and still runs yeah they have some things wrong with them but every car does it’s not the cars fault that the owner doesn’t take care of it Chevy blazers are nice it’s just some people don’t understand how powerful and reliable they are because the got one cheep and don’t know what life it had before they got it

My 2004 blazer is incredible and I love it the only problem is the rust because the previous owner used it to tow his boat and would back into the water with it.

Rule #1 - buy a vehicle with a reputation for reliability #2 - Maintenance is key so read the owners manual and hand make a schedule #3 - every 5K miles Synthetic oil and the corresponding oil filter #4 - replace the radiator fluid every 60K miles  #5 - replace the Auto-transmission fluid every 80K miles #6 - check brake pads at 50K miles   If you follow these recommendations you will get 200000 miles plus of trouble free / cost effective use from the vehicle.

I drive a 1996 chevy blazer. I bought it from the original owner at 130k mi. I now just crossed the 166k mi market and of the 2.5 years I've owned the blazer and other than normal maintenance, I have only had to replace the radiator dew to the transmission cooler line inlet had broken. Although the vehicle is nearly 24yrs old it has been one of the best vehicles I've have ever purchased. Either someone had purchased a "lemon" and has caused him to have negative thoughts toward all late model blazers or I have just been one of the "lucky" ones of of the millions of Chevy Blazer that have been manufactured and sold.

I have a 2004 Chevy trail blazer it has some problems going around corners. It’s nickname is bobble head. It handles better somewhat after new struts. It has over 187000 miles and has only had fluid changes, oxygen sensor, catalytic converter, and a tuneup. Otherwise is still running fairly well.

I may be late on this, but let me tell ya, I bought a 1995 Chevy Blazer 2 door s10, previous owners did not take care of that sucker. I'm talking bad crankshaft sensor, starter, brake master cylinder, transmission leaks and motor oil leaks. All mechanically replaced by me just to make my vehicle run and ride again without any stalls. It's all on the owner/driver who takes care of it. All it takes is research and patience, thanks Scotty!

I'll be giving updates and walkthroughs about my ride soon

I got an 03 blazer with 190,000 on it so far. The only thing that needed replacing was the sunroof motor and master control switch for the windows and locks. Other than that, the sumbitch runs like a race car. I even take it offroad with my kids. Maybe the owners are caring for them like they should.

It's all about how you maintain your vehicle. I have a 99 blazer with 260k miles on it without any major problems. Just typical Ohio rust. I also have an 87 VW Cabriolet with 515k miles and still does not use a quart of oil between oil changes. Bottom line all vehicles have problems. Maintain them and your vehicle will last for years.

Must of been some goobers and not took care of it. Only one had a tranny problem. That one had 127 miles and I got it off some female teen who well.....female teen. All other were fine after 100,000 miles. The longest one i had before i sold it because of needs was 145,000 no problems. I've had atleast 6 of em since 98 and up.

Other problems were the manifold gaskets cracked twice. Once after sitting for 6 months and another after it sat for a year. Fuel pump went out after 15 years of use. I guess what I’m saying here is other than a few bad design flaws, this SUV has been a tank. No sensor has ever failed, no transmission trouble to this day. The check engine light came on once for the MAF sensor “ended up being my fault” added to much oil on the k&n filter after I cleaned it.
To this day it still runs strong! And my boy takes it muddling, tows with it, uses it as a work truck.. we can’t kill it!! I’m no Chevy fan at all but this thing was a fluke! I will note.. I maintained it extremely well. Trans fluid, rear end/front end gear oil, 3k mile oil changes every time.. It’s definitely no fiat that’s for sure 🤣

                                                                      • richie p

Thankfully I bought lifetime warranty on brake calipers from Advance Auto. The ABS system was terrible constantly wore through pads and calipers. Front wheel hubs and axles were shot with less than 70,000 miles. EVAP canister, rear pinion seal/bearing and ABS sensor and mechanical components on the end of the rear axle and again with less than 70,000 miles. Also to mention the only engine available is the gas thirsty V-8 that got 8 miles per gallon. Sold it at 75,000 miles as it was just a money pit and I learned here in Youtube that the front differentials were also faulty and I wasn't going to put another dime into this truck. Nissan Corporate is horrible to deal with.

I find it funny how people get so upset when someone talks about their vehicle. Chevy and Ford owners get more upset than anyone else. To tell the truth. I like any car that easy to work and has a good Engine and transmission. My mom had a 1997 Chevy s10 blazer. During that time, her axle broke on the front passenger side. Her power windows stop working, her ac and heat stop working, her electric door locks and radio, we're talking all on the first 10 years of ownership. And it wasn't even 200k on the car. She also owned a Chevy trail blazer, 2005. Her transmission failed at 130k. And she has had more promblems out of it than her 2007 honda accord. Which had 230k miles on it. All she ever did to that car was put a alternator, driver side control arm and a oil pressure sensor. The ac, heat, radio, heated seats, still worked. It still had the original transmission and engine that have never been touched. On trail blazer, she has been through 5 sets of wheel bearings and has had numerous promblems out it. The heat does not work, the ac does not work. The engine is going out as we speak, and in her own words. She says her honda accord never gave her the problems her trail blazer did. My Papa owned a Chevy s10. He said was a decent truck. But his ford ranger gave him less problems than his s10 did. I'm not a Chevy fan, but my buddy has 1995 Silverado and it has been a good truck. However he's got a 85 Dakota with 457k. 2nd transmission. He put the first in at 230k. The Silverado went out at 80k. And he doesn't pull anything. He doesn't believe he will make it 450k on the silverado. It's giving him more problems than his Dakota has. He also has Subaru outback with almost 200k. And the AWD still works. However, his Silverado does not with 180k.

I bought a 2002 dodge ram 1500 with the 3.7 liter engine back in 2016 with 80,000 miles on it. I always kept up on oil changes, spark plugs and air filters and the engine and transmission lasted until 190,000 miles and was still going strong but in them 3 years I replaced the radiator, water pump, starter, fuel pump, a wheel bearing, the electronic brain, fuse box, tie rod ends, ball joints, window motors, the dash completely fell apart and the a/c and heat stopped working a few months after I got it. I did love the way the truck drove and the power for only being a 6 cylinder but damn. I was always working on it.

Maybe I should go to the Junk jar and pick up one and start to rebuild one. I been reading and this trucks have a particular love for Ac Delco or Delphi parts.
