@Christopher Gilbert In another video someone asked Scotty to name the safest car on the road and his answer was the Lexus 350. I have watched so many of Scotty's videos it may be the video titled Toyota or Honda. Anyway, I have been now viewing the Lexus 350. Best to you.

@Kean Tran your engine will make a knock or tick sounds i should day. It'll use slightly more gas with a lower octane as the computer compensates. "Worse gas mileage" And you'll have more carbon build up in the engine over time. Also a loss of hp. Just depends how long you want to keep the car. If it's a beater car, no problem go for it. Lol Just a personal experience i had doing that. Hope that helps.

Scotty Kilmer HMV oil has a seal swell additive and that's it. I used to make it for a major oil company. It's effective but only need to use it once. Otherwise you keep dosing your deal with something that makes them swell.

Scotty said:" baby an automatic transmission to make it last"
That is exactly what I do, 95 Ford Aerostar minivan, known to have a weak transmission.
So every 50 to 60 thousand miles I dropped the pan and change about half the fluid with new filter. I also Drive reasonably. As of today I have over 340k and the transmission shifts beautifully. Zero issues.

I just learned something from Scotty I was coming to the same conclusion on too. If you don’t like brake noise, change your rotors with your pads, and use high quality pads. Will remember that Japanese brake pad maker. Thank you

Even if you're having a garage sale and are asking one dollar for a fifty dollar wheelbarrow a Mexican will offer 50 cents for it. It's a cultural thing with them. I don't even waste my time anymore looking at a car they have for sale. When they answer the phone and I hear their accent I say " Is Scotty there"? They respond then I say " sorry wrong number "

Don't fall for all the Toyota fanatics stories. It's mostly exaggeration about their reliability. I've personally seen first-hand Toyota automatic transmissions, a/c systems fail with 100k miles on them. They leak oil also , and idler pulley problems, peeling paint, cheap plastic interior and exterior parts and other problems. I'll NEVER own another Toyota. Chevy and Harley Davidson as it should be.
Just say no to putt putt overrated unreliable Toyotas.💣🔔

                                          Hi Scotty
I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Triton and I tried to empty the oil from the sump but not all the oil came out. I subsequently over filled the engine.
Do you know why this could happen? Prior to that the engine ran well and the 2 litres that came out was flowing normally.
                                          Thanks Peter Australia

My extended warranty saved me easily $10,000 on my 2005 Audi A6. Never buy a German car you plan to keep without an extended warranty. The key is to get a warranty through a reputable firm and to get the best plan they offer. I got the Audi Pure Protection Plan through Fidelity. You can buy it though ANY dealer, you don't have to use the dealer that sold you the car. Just make sure to put an extended warranty in place BEFORE the factory warranty runs out. A good policy spells out what is and what is not covered. The best policy, the platinum plan, covers everything NOT specifically excluded, like brakes, tires, batteries, shocks, etc.. That's what you want. I'm getting ready to sell the car now as the repairs keep coming and they are always in the thousands of dollars.

When I bough my car the sale man sold me an extended warranty, Thanks God that I bough it, it paid out. When the car is under the dealership"s warranty, they do not want to fix it, but when they realize that bough a warranty then they would fix it right away. they would have it in the system, and you would not have to do anything. So the deal is to buy it from the dealership and not from the people that call you home. it worked very well for me.

An extended warranty with tire coverage really does pay for iutself. I have seen them cover 5000 dollar jobs and in average most people do get their money out of them but you need to get one from a reputable company.
Cna, Empire, Fidelity pinacle and mastercraft are the best Most of the offbrand though I wouldn't trust.

Most are probably garbage, but I bought a used 2008 BMW 328XI from a Toyota dealership with 55k. I knew BMW repairs can get expensive and opted to by a 50k mile warranty for $2k. I also talked them down in price because the car was a manual transmission and I was probably the only person looking at it. I never had a claim denied, my mechanic even replaced a few things that hadn't failed but were close. I ended up saving over 5k in repairs during the time. They even replaced things like struts at nearly 100k miles that I would consider a wear item.

But I knew that when I bought it. And i changed out all the fluids. But agin i knew all this when i bought this car. All the other cars i looked at at every used car lot where junk. I just happend to come across this car . Well needless to say about 2 years later the used car salesman was arrested and charged. But my was the exception. But i do agree with scotty i have never found a good used car sence that one i found that day. All used cars that i look at all have had the odometer turned back. And there eather flood damaged or peiced back toghter after a wreck. So now I only buy cars that I absolutely know all the history on. Regardless of the milage. And I always have a few thousand set aside for repairs . Cause I allready know used cars always need things like a trans rebuild or a timing chain and waterpump replacement.

No cold air at idle, everything working as expected, freon level good. I had a car with ac that did the same thing. But everything was in great working order. Still no cool air at idle. Freeway speeds cooled fine. Look for Low Air flow through the condenser. The condenser was mounted about a half inch in front of the radiator. You couldn't see between them from bottom or top without removing the radiator brackets and spreading them apart. So I did and I'm glad I did. I found that half an inch gap was plugged completely with dog hair? Yep it looked like a wool coat. After cleaning it out with a small bristle brush and a lot of duck tape on a stick, I finally got air flowing good and the problem was solved. Ps. That explained why the car always ran towards the hot end of the temp gauge but still never overheated. All was fine after that. It even had more pep. Good luck. Jpol.
