It doesn't make sense, too big and clunky for travel, too small for desktop, too expensive. Tablets also such thin but better by x100 or more.

Hey Linus, you and the team have seriously improved these videos recently. As a long time viewer, you've continually made your content more fluid and educational, and your ads more while still maintaining your most entertaining aspects ;P

At first I was thinking that this display with hub hooked up to a smartphone with a portable charger might be a good plan. Start PS4 Remote Play and sync PS4 controller via phone Bluetooth and away you go. However after hearing the price for the display and hub leaves me wondering why I wouldn't just invest in a decent tablet instead.

Bc a regular monitor isn't portable. I think you're missing the whole point of why portable monitors exist

ANDROID. EMULATION. I already use a mount for my phone. If the back plate could be thick enough to just mount with that + just one USB C to my phone... perfect.

We're worried they're a shady company now. Buyer beware, they might screw you over. Not a trustworthy company in our opinion from this awful experience.

I understand it weights only 200+ gram, but how much weight the case? And finally, what's the point to buy this monitor which named portable if it has to be plugged with power adapter and that hub? It is not portable at all and too many wires. I had monitor from Gaems, it's not that thin and light, but I can easily use HDMI cable for picture and sound, and USB to power it. Now you can easily find a monitor with USB-C as the only cable to power it and also for picture and sound. I see only one scenario why would you want such small 4K display (and if possible to use only USB-C cable) - to connect it to your camera. It's not that expansive as for 4K and 100% sRGB.

They've proven their point..They can make a thin monitor.. Great.. good for them.. Now that we've established that, make it thicker and and get rid of the hub and all the stupid ass cables so you actually have a usable product.

Have you ever seen a monitor with those lighter spots ? You probably seen that on laptops that are a couple of years old, and this is caused by pressure on the screen. Well, this screen will have the same issues in like a week. It is way too exposed. When linus said "I don't know why nobody did this before", that's the reason.
Also, I'd rather have a screen twice as thick with all the electronics in it, rather than carrying around a big black box with a fan, and like 12 cables.

Paid about 430$ including shipping but the Hub is missing from the package, making the thing effectively a very pretty and expensive paperweight. Crickets from support so far ...
