NO JOKE! I think ATP AT-205 Additive would be my first choice. However, you would have to have a rig to introduce it to the A/C system. Thoughts Scotty???

If you're going to that time & trouble, replace the evaporator, orifice, dryer, & lubricated* o-rings, plus charge, & be done with it!

How can you create a vacuum in an already leaky system? If refrigerant leaks out then a vacuum will cause air to leak in.

Super seal absolutely does work! As a professional auto tech - I've used every a/c sealer on the market and without question - super seal is the only product that I've ever had great success with. I once went to a seminar in which there was a complete automotive a/c system mounted on a table top for demonstration purposes, the compressor was turned by an electric motor. As the system was ran and operating normally - a guy drilled several 1/8 inch holes in various locations at the evaporator and condenser. Within seconds the system was depleted and stopped working(ozone layer be dammed I guess!) The man then added a can of super seal followed by a recharge of the system. To my amazement you could easily see the super seal material oozing from all the drilled holes then form a plug which stopped the leaks entirely. The system was topped back off and then allowed to operate for another 30 minutes. The man then scanned all the sealed holes with a leak detector both while the system was running then shut off. No leaks of any kind were detected at all! I was sold on this product from that day on and have been using it successfully for budget type repairs ever since! It truly is an amazing product!

I don't see how sealers can work. You have 30 to 40 pounds on one side and over hundred on the high. Open a water faucet and try to hold the water back with your hand and you will get a idea of the pressure trying to come out.

I have a 93 Accord with the original R12 AC system and an ample supply of that refidgerant so I have no incentive to change it. It has the Hadsys compressor which is no longer available and has gone from leaking every 2 years to 9 months. Since the A/C Seal has an adapter that only works with R134a what are my options?
